My 61, separate holes. I will shoot some picks in morning and send. Also, good idea to run a wire or small flex cable thru the fire wall as back-up release pull.

62 has two seperate holes, there's a slot with a rubber gromet where the cables exit the driver compartment behind the release lever on each side.
The cable goes from the driver's side to the passenger side under the dash, you can only see small section of cable in the engine compartment where it is secured at the release lever.
A good diagram is in the AIM if you have one.
It is a very good idea to put the extra cables as Devidog has suggested.
Hope this helps out.
