When I had my accident they told me and my wife I'd never walk again...well so far we are proving them wrong. After spending 1.5 months in the hospital, and 1 year in rehab I am back to getting around pretty good, with the exceptions of my left leg drags a bit, and my arms burn and tingle all the time, even with some pretty heavy doses of meds. That is the main reason for the doc's not letting me return to work yet.
If I have my way, I'll get it all back eventually, but this spinal chord stuff ain't like anything else I've ever had to deal with.....It is
Thanks.....

30 years as a firefighter. Retired at 53 and now living the dream. Playing with my 1960 Corvette and 1965 Cobra full time (while my wife keeps working). My advice, marry a younger woman.

Diceal stole my life It was always my dream to be a pilot and have a USAF career. I never made it though college to be able to pursue it.
So I wound up working on computers in the mid 80's. Worked and lived through PC's, networks, email, and the internet revolutions. I did some RF network stuff like a couple of others on here. Symbol Spectrum One and 24. I really enjoyed that area of technology.
I'm now doing inventory control for a rug import business. The owner is making millions...has connections to weavers in India, Nepal, China, etc...high end area rugs. They retail in the thousand's Business is good - the people that can afford to buy these rugs will never have money problems anyway.
Anyone want to through some money into a business and lets do the same ?

I worked at Disneyland as a summer job when I was in college. That was back in 1986, I worked on Pirates of the Caribean. I think we only got about $3.35 an hour but what a fun summer.

I work at NASA as the operations Manager for the Shuttle simulators... Spent 20 years in the Air Force before that as a flight engineer on big jets.. Run Coast Guard Approved Captains Schools on the side and plan to do that full time for starting next year when I retire from NASA..

Just slightly O/T. Do you dentists and physicians do any of the restoration/maintenance work on your cars ?
My dentist will not even do yard work with mowers or shears because he says his hands are worth so much to his livelihood.

Cell Sites, Towers, Golf, & Ministry
Been designing, permitting, and building wireless/telecom facilities since 1994. I also own towers which I lease back to the wireless carriers.
Now at 39, my business is running fairly self-sufficiently and I'm moving on to other areas. In addition to working on the golf handicap (currently at 6), I'm working with a Christian organization and the PGA Tour to do charity and ministry through their events. In addition, my wife and I are active at our local (non-denominational) church, while I am an elder there.
