Default Father's Day Wish

My dad has always wanted to own a C2 convertible. With life and a business, the closest he ever landed was a '69 C3. And while he enjoys his '56 Bentley and a 1929 Dodge Brothers, he will never own a sports car again due to back surgeries. He is in his early 60s and if there is one thing I wish I could do is have him drive a C2.

I'm hoping there is someone willing to give him a ride or let him drive (with you in the car of course) and I would gladly pay for your time and the privilege. I wouldn't want to put someone out on Father's Day, but a week or two after would be great if someone is available.

He lives on a farm in Mocksville, NC and I live in Charlotte, NC. We would travel an hour from either location to your chosen setting. Manual or auto, convertible or hardtop, daily or trailer queen; I would like to him to have the chance to drive the car he always wanted but never owned.

Please PM me if interested.

Additional Info - Figure anything to show I'm serious:

If I lived in the area it would be a done deal, especially since my 67 was delivered new in Charlotte, NC. Good luck in your quest.

Sir,

If was in his area (and my engine rebuild was complete) I would not only give him a ride, I'd probably let him drive it around.

But the least I can do is to give you a bump to the top.

My dad had a very nice 1925 Dodge business sedan with the noiseless starter. Very solid car. Dark green with a black fabric top. Wood spoke wheels and very dependable.

Thank you all for your support keeping this going, I'm hoping I can find someone. I won't quit and will keep trying until it happens for him.

I never had the opportunity to let my father drive my car as he passed away before I acquired it. I commend you on granting his wish. If you are ever in the LA area I would be honored to allow him to drive my 67 L71
Marina blue coupe with side exhaust. I think it would be the thrill of his life.

Can't help with your request as I live in Colorado, but I'll give your post a bump. Hope you're able to find someone willing to help out.

Kip- I looked up the mileage and I'm 5 hours away, and with a coupe. Your story is compelling, I hope you find it!
