05 Subaru Legacy GT (a hoot to drive in the snow, 250 hp spinning all 4 tires through a 5 speed manual)

Its been awhile (Hey Dave)
Ive got my 67 roadster, an 85 El Camino (my 04 C5 went away to move) and an 88 Fiero (one of 436 yellow Formulas) awaiting a 3800 SC swap. Loving every minute of it....

yes mine is an early build (Sept 01) and all kinds of noise at start up now; I certainly don't mean to wish you troubles, sounds like you'll do just fine

All I have left in my garage is the 1960 corvette project and my 1955 nomad that I have owned and enjoyed for 30 years. I have driven my nomad in 31 states and have driven it to 22 national nomad conventions. I am looking forward to the day that my corvette can be driven and enjoyed!

Stingxray,

My dad's first car was a turqoise 57 hardtop. I am trying to complete it while he can still enjoy it. Hope to complete by spring.

My dream is to have both my 65 and 57 restored and next to each other in the garage. I am hoping to send them my vette next.

I'm sitting here laughing, 'cuz some of us seem to be living in "parallel universes". Got an LT1 sitting on the floor here, only 4k on it, as it came out of a state trooper Camaro that they managed to roll-over when the car was 2 months old. Maybe the real reason that F-bodies were cancelled was "Camaro-inversion" !

It was originally destined for one of the big Panels, but I wanted more torque and couldn't source headers for a 60-66 C-chassis that would clear the manual transmission linkage for the stock Muncie SM420 (7.0:1 first gear - YEEEHAR !!!). Had planned out PS pump relocation, fuel pump & return-line stuff, but didn't want to fab my own headers. Hence - "stroker 383". Besides...I wanted the torque !!!

It seems that Corvette Forums's "most-owned truck" is "Chevy from 60-72", huh ?

After seeing the independent collections here, especially Bill's vettes, i'm suffering from a serious case of "vehicle envy". I know; no know cure, just endure! Dennis

Besides the silver '66 L72, there's a low milage '98 WS LS-1 Trans AM 6spd that gets up and runs, a low milage '92 Merc 500 SL, a Honda, and various fantasies for more....
