Early 63s had lots of exposed stainless trim inside. Dont know if that is original for yours though.

I have a original non restored 63 early coupe and the paint ( black) is peeling from the interior mouldings in a couple of places and darn if it doesn't look like chrome ( polished aluminum)

It is painted. They do have stainless trim but they painted it. I have heard that GM considered having it all stainless but for some reason painted all of it. I stipped mine and then used metal etching primer and painted it with trim paint. Some people use Krylon but in my opinion it is too flat. I used a paint called SMS or some letters like that. It looks more like the unpolished lacquer that the factory used.

Probably SEM Trim Black #39143 (if it's black).
