Any members from Maui, Hawaii?
I will be visiting my brother in Kahului, December 12-17. Just wondering if there were any corvette/car events or attractions that could/should be attended during this time. I am open to suggestions and any pointers you may have!
Thank You

Thank you for the reply. I have never been to Hawaii, so I am sure most of the time will be spent sight seeing. I know they are already taking us out on the ocean fishing and spending a night at the ranch up by a volcano. Just wondering if there were any car shows, cruise nights etc. going on? I am sure it will be fun!

Greg,
I think there's one or two members from there I've seen on here, but if I was you, I wouldn't waste my time with car shows there (even if there were any). That you can see anywhere. Maui is so unique, there's alot to see and do there without having to look at cars. Rent a Jeep and drive the Road to Hana...its amazing Here's a couple pics from that experience:
I feel bad for whomever buys this Jeep after its rental life is up
Crossing a stream off the Road to Hana:
Have a great time-I wish I was going back

Hawaii's got 'em
There are plenty of C1s and C2s in the state, not to mention C3s and later... even here on the Big Island. Some get driven a lot, others infrequently.
Just to let you know...

There are more here than you think! I have seen more than a couple of C1's and C2's here. Lots of C6's. I have my eyes on a '67 "field find" that I would love to pursue, if I could keep it a secret from the wife! Go to mauicarshows.com and look at their schedule of events. Good group of people, with a LOT of very nice rods and customs, even some vettes.

Thank you to everyone who replied with comments and suggestions. My brother lives in Lahaina, building a house in Ka'anapoli and has access to a ranch by Hana, so we will be seeing all sides of the island including an early morning sunrise up on Haleakala. Should be fun!
Thanks again!

Loved Maui when we went there a few years back. Like you we always try and scope out any Corvette/car action when we travel. Once saw a right hand drive C4 in Melborne Australia and had a good conversation with the driver. You won't see too many Vettes though.
Have fun and bring some warm weather gear for your morning on top of the volcano. It could be 30 degrees up there while your looking down on 80 degree weather on the beaches below.
