Hi John, how about sharing your cars with the forum. I know you have a bunch and I bet the guys would just love to see them! How about it?

Just have two toys these days - '67 Corvette convertible, and all-original unrestored '69 Z/28; the '08 Avenger R/T and Sebring Limited are our daily drivers. Gotta love the heated/cooled cupholders and refrigerated "Chill Zone" compartment above the glove box.

John, what coating did you use on your garage floor?

I had the floor done seven years ago when we built the house; it was done by Home Pro Floors (www.homeprofloors.com). They steel shot-blasted the 2300 sq. ft. slab (after it cured for four months) to open up the pores in the "skin" so the coating had some "tooth" to bond to, and poured two coats of solvent-based industrial epoxy 24 hours apart, with the second coat tinted light gray. Before pouring the slab we laid a 10-mil poly moisture barrier, then covered that with 5/8"-thick 4' x 8' sheets of high-density closed-cell foam with heavy foil on both sides to insulate the floor and provide an impenetrable secondary moisture barrier.
Floor is warm and dry all winter, zero moisture migration, and it's indestructible; tires won't mark it or lift it, nothing stains it, dropped parts or tools won't chip it, and it's super easy to keep clean. I sweep it occasionally with a soft-bristle push broom, and wash the winter salt/snow crud out the door with a hose in the spring.

John,
Where is your seemingly endless information stored? I don't see it in the photo.
Regards,
Alan

John,
Very nice. I just have an unheated single
attached car garage that serves me well for my daily driver (2001 Impala). I would love to have that set-up. When I see heavy snow and freezing rain in the Canadian winter, I just tuck it in.
The 1967 Corvette is now in heated commercial storage until April. About $110/month. A bargain.

What about the skunk works??
- the Nitrous Storage
- Secret Dyno Room
- the manuscript of Junior Johnson's secret Moonshiner driving
tips/techniques that were obtained using a dummy Corvette
Enthusiast assignment.
- the '67 4 door Uber Sleeper Nova BBC you secretly troll the streets of
Michigan in... Putting angst in the hearts of those beaten by
a Granny Beater..
Just curious..
