Radio died - trouble shooting?
My radio just died the other day.
I will check the fuse and if that's OK:
Any suggestions as to who can repair it? I am not looking for anything beyond a radio that plays without alot of static.

The first thing I would do after I checked the fuses, is check and make sure the radio is grounded. If so and the wiring looks good. I would send it out to be rebuilt. I can only recommend someone for wonderbar radio's. I'm sure another forum member could recommend an AM / FM rebuilder.

I have a great radio rebuilder here in minnesota. The guy can do anything. Clocks, gauges, radios. He may even have the radio in stock. http://www.turnswitch.com/

I would suggest that you have both the radio and speaker checked. The speaker has a matching transformer and if it shorts out then it will take the output transistor of the radio. I replaced my transistor and since the transformer was shorted, it took out the transitor again as soon as I turned the radio on.

I think I may have a schematic for it. (about 3 or 4 pages of info)
If you find you may want to take it to a local shop for a check, let me know and I will look for the schematic and send you a copy.
