Default 1961 nose lettering question

My 61 was missing the front corvette nose lettering. I now want to install them . Does anyone know where I could get a template for positioning and drilling to mount them.

Thanks Greg

My 62 was in the same boat.

I simply looked on the back of the nose, found the holes that were plugged, and drilled them out from the back.

I was also in the same situation 10 years ago and could not locate the filled holes. I contacted a vendor that built front clips for 61-62 C-1s. I was able to get a small section of the front panel already predrilled. I dont have it anymore since I sold it to another 62 owner . You might try Semershiems and see if theyll do the the same for you.

I am doing a '61 now with the same problem. Anyone out there with a template? I am willing to buy it.

Thanks!

You need a template to figure out where to drill the holes. There's too much room for error and screwing it up. Fortunately, you caught my little project at the right time.

Robert,

Made a template and sent it off to leaston78. You may want to contact him to see if you can borrow it. Took me a bit of time to make.

Trim parts now offers the 61-62 nose letter kit, with tape on the back, instead of pins. It's not NCRS correct, but for every other application, it's a lot easier than screwing around, trying to drill those holes.
