Default Hole in fiberglass to big for the Black T-shaped, Hose & Wire Plastic Strap

I’m sure some of you have run into this before. The T- shape plastic strap that holds the wiring will not stay in the fiberglass due to hole being to big. I have a fix in mind but was wondering what you guys have done. The perfect solution would be T- straps that are made with a bigger nose (the part that goes into the glass) but have not found any yet.

Put a washer with the right size hole on the other side of the hole and pust the nose through the fiberglass hole and then into the washer hole. Paint the washer black if it shows. You may even be able to find vinyl or plastic washers.

That's what I have done too, but I did one other thing. I drilled the tabs with a tiny drill and put tiny cotter pins to hold it firm. After the ends are bent over and cut to form a keeper, I then shoot them black.

Paragon's T strap kit ($20) has pieces that attach to the straps to take care of this. # 1534K
