Default Ebay scam

Given that the car is photographed in Reno, Nevada in front of the Silver Legacy Casino and the seller is in the mid-west, I'd be careful... He probably swiped the photos from Sierra Classics webpage, they are a reputable dealer in Reno that sells classic cars year round. They use this location to shoot their sales photos.

eBay really needs to find a way to better protect your user ID. I can't believe the scammers are still able to do what they do. Surely, there's a way to beat them and keep them out somehow.

It's up to the users to protect their usernames and passwords - if they didn't respond to the bogus/scammer e-mails and type in their usernames and passwords, they wouldn't lose them to the scammers.

eBay has 2,000 people assigned to screen SEVEN MILLION new auctions posted every day - that's 3,500 auctions per screener - obviously impossible. As of last week, eBay had almost 90 million registered users.

But I too wish they would do some progromatic filtering of these obviously bogus auctions. It's always the same story, "contact me using this email address xx@xx.com". It's gotta be something that can be filtered. No email addresses in the auction listing... seems simple enough.

My Wife buys on E-bay frequently. After reading some of the posts on the forum, I would be nervous on a large purchase - would want to have some safeguards to protect me. (but, my Daughter says I am still living in the 60's, so that probably explains my problem)
