Default Kinda glad to see this

I was watching THIS FRAME on Ebay. Gives me a rough estimate what mine might go for. Mines not a BB, but it does have a 4:11 rear. I want to try to sell it complete with engine, TKO600, sidepipe headers, etc. Might actually be able to get 12K? If I can't I guess i'll tear it down, and sell the trans, headers, sidepipes seperate.

WoW,

I should part out my cars.

However, it looks kinda fishy.

The bidding? My frame is a lot less surface rusty than this thing.

The new bidders at the end reek of shill bidding.

If so, it would qualify as a "Backfire". The new bidder won the auction.

However, if the seller wasn't satisfied with the bid price near the auction end, he might want to "Buy it back" with a shill bid.

I'd guess the winner had a high reserve others were bidding against.

This may be a legit purchase guys. Most of the indicators to verify a real "big block" car involve the chassis.

Considering the markup factor big block cars bring, the new owner could easily double or triple the investment here if they were so inclined to "fabricate" a big block car for resale.

Zero feedback buyers are sometimes a well seasoned eBayer who merely opens new accounts to prevent others from easily making the association back to themselves.

Or the seller bid the car up, to try to figure out where the highest bidders max was, but went to far, and now he can just give a second chance offer to the guy.

That is why I will just put a reserve on mine when I list it. If it doesn't meet it, then I will try a different approach.

John, why not contact forum member 'Troy.Blackburn' ?

He needs a frame for his '64 and he lives nearby in Oxnard.

Wow that seems like a steep price for this frame. I too had been watching this auction and had been considering it for a project... plus I live in the area.
