'61 Aluminium Valve Covers
Last week I had aluminium valve covers sandlblasted with aluminium silicate. It gave them a matte somewhat "rough" finish. They were a bit oxidized when I purchased them.
Is there a high temperature clear coat spray I can use on the valve covers? Or are there any other methods to protect them from oxidation or oil stains?

An old restoration trick is not to paint the valve covers, but to take a lint free rag and get some aluminum paint... Spray the paint on to the rag and then wipe it on the sandblasted valve cover. It will be about as close as you can get to looking original without spending a ton of Money. You don’t need heat paint here for the pure reason that a simple touch up is only a squirt and wipe away.
