Default Engine I.D. prefix CNJ cast #3970014

I need help identifying this engines original application. Bottomline I can't find my old book. Does anyone know?

What I know:
Smallblock 350
Prefix/code CNJ
Casting #3970014 used from 1970-1976
Casting date December 8th, 1969
If I remember correctly this could have been a 2 or 4 bolt main

Can anyone help with this one.

Thanks in advance!

The "CNJ" suffix was a 1970 350/300hp 4-speed used in all mid-size cars (Chevelle, El Camino, Nova, Camaro, etc.); not used in Corvettes.

Thank you for the info. This engine is complete and in good condition it's been hanging on an engine stand for 22 years. Any ideal what it's worth?

In my neck of the woods, a plain Jane 350 without an exotic casting number is only worth about $500 - including heads and intake. And this assumes it is in running, rebuildable condition.

I plan to pick it up tomorrow...the owner wants to get rid of it and wanted me to make an offer. Thanks for the info.
