power brake bleeder for a 65 with round
power brake bleeder for a 65 with a round master cylinder. The ones on the website http://www.motiveproducts.com/12appl.html
don't have an application for 65. I assume because its round. Anyone modify theirs or made it work some how with a one holer.

Are you referring to a '65 with power brakes? If so, a Motive #0105 ('early American' style) will work if you use two large C-clamps & position the two fluid outlet ports above each round hole, as in pic below.
If you are referring to a '65 with manual brakes, this style adaptor won't work. There's a tech rep person there named Pam Mancl (pam@motiveproducts.com) that may be able to help.

I just took an old master cylinder cao, drilled a hole through it and the gasket and installed a fitting that fits my Snap on pressure bleeder. Install the cap as usual, hook up the hose and bleed it. I made a similar cap for bleeding 65-66 power brake master cylinders out of an old plastic cap. I also made a cap for c-1 cars by buying a repro cap, drilling and tapping it and adding a fitting for the hose.

The website says the #101 is only 3.5 inches across, I measured the master cylinder and its 4 inches across.
Have you used the 101 on your round master cylinder?
Thanks

I just went out and measured the opening on my master cylinder and it is just a touch over three inches. The adaptor cap fits just right. I am not sure why yours is larger.

'65 (with disk brakes, without power brakes) & '66 without power brakes use a Bendix single chamber, 1" bore, p/n 2225032. It is nothing like the Delco cylinder used on '64 model year.

Pat,
Yeah, & I was thinking 'power brake bleeder' meant bleeding a power boosted m/cyl.
A friend on mine in LaCrosse WI had one of those '65s with manual drum brakes -- very rare cars & a strange sight under the hood. Wonder if one could order disk delete with the p/b boost?
