spark plug wires
I checked here, in Corvetteforum and over in the NCRS archives for posts on spark plug wires so I hope I'm not here .. John Z mentions MSD wires but I don't see them listed in 7mm black .? .. I read here the other day that Delco's have red plug boot ends . .?.. Not sure about that one. . Accels, well, but yellow wires .?! .. Moroso wires come in blue.
Seems Lectric Limited wires have some issues - too fragile. I see that the Pertronics wires come in 7mm black .. Has anybody used the Pertronics spark plug wires .? . .

I asked that same question for my 60 and was told to buy Delco, part number 508n. supposed to be good and reasonable.Yes they are supposed to have red boots, but if they work,????? From this site, of course!

Based on both John's and Dukes recommendation I ended up buying the Delco #508N wires.
Not sure if I even needed new wires or not but since I had everything apart anyway I figured I might as well replace them.
yes, the boots are red (WHY????) but no-one is going to see them behind the shielding and I don't go thru judging so I don't care.

Guess I am a little late BUT... we have a 1961 Vette and just installed Petronix Flame Thrower 7mm black/ black ends. They look great and we only have about 100 miles on this new motor and they seem to work well. If there is a problem , it is that the ends fit so tight onto the spark plugs, you can hardly get them off to check the gap on the plugs...but we are 100% satisfied!!

I currently have Accell 7MM wires, and they have been trouble free. I hate yellow though. With all the shielding on, you cannot see one inch of the wire. So really a non issue.
They are close to 6 years old, and I will replace them when my engine project is under way. My local auto parts store guy is really good about warranty, and all I have to do is plop them on the county and get another set, no questions asked.

YES, I have the Petronix "7.0 mm Stock Look" plug wires on my 65 (they are a high quality product, secure ends, nice insulation, etc) - maybe cost $10 more than the red-booted Delcos, and if you choose to save your money that way (and put some bright red booted plug wires on your car) that's certainly your choice. I am a cheapskate myself, but I dug deep and found the extra $
Part No. 708101, JEGS pn 751-708101 - $38

Looks like Delco's or Pertronics. Through the years I've always like the name recognition of Delco. It's just the, well, 'red boot' thing .. .. No need to be so **** here ..
