Default Would you drive it?

OK..........
so the weather is up in the high 40's

and the rain came in and took all the snow away.......
so
would you take your car around the block a time or 7?
ha

Just curious if the Northern crowd would chime in on when they take their cars out...........
If tomorrow or Christmas is like today - it is going to be really hard NOT to fire it up!
ha

talk me out of this!!!!!!!!!!

Default I'll be riding today!

Letting it sit can be bad and sure isn't much fun, I'll be letting those 425 HP out today.

My wife and I will be taking the 65 convt to my parents for our Christmas Eve family get together. It's going to be 50 degrees and Sunny today.
I might even put on my full Santa suit and have the top down. I did it a couple of years ago. Kids loved it when we drove by them waving

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Default took it x-mas shoping yesterday

Will be out today and on the 25th.. that's why i put the top up so i could drive it whenever it is not snowing out..any day no snow on the ground.. I'm out there.. besides I can't EVEN look at it under the car cover so what's the point of keeping it in the garage
this years winters excuse(explanation) is i need to see how the new MSD Pro Billit distributor works with the 327.. I think I'l drive down to pick up a wreath for the front today look for me on the Long iSLAND EXPRESSWAY... HOPE TO SEE EVERYONE OUT TODAY.. I'll post photo

If the snow's pretty much melted and the salt's washed off the road, I get my '66 out once every couple of weeks or so. I've just got to get behind the wheel!

Default Winter Run

Yesterday I got off work, Mid 40's, roads clear, 1/2 tank of gas, why not. Fired up the Big Block made a run, I think I made the day for some harried shopers, first time I made a run this close to the new year. Looks I will not do it today, Rain It may clear up for the new Year Firedog

If I have the time and there is no wet salt I drive my '61 and '69.

Even if it is -10F and there is snow on the ground, if the roads are totally dry - white powdered salt on the pavement won't hurt the frame- I have driven them.

Here in Connecticut, low 40's, dry roads yesterday. Took the '64 coupe out for a few errands--90 minutes total.

Plan on doing the same today, but unfortunately, rain forecast for Christmas day, so the Vette will sleep for a while.

The roads are fine here on Cape Cod. I drive them whenever the weather allows. Don't know how long it will last so drive them while you can. Turn up the heat and pretend it's summer.

Ack. It's been so nice here (Virginia Beach, not East Lansing) the past few days and yesterday was the PERFECT day to go driving. I'm finding what really sucks is having a car that actually runs, but still needs just a little more work to be good to drive.

Nah, too damn cold here (suppose to be only 70 here today)!

Besides, got too many other things to do (holidays are like that).

Have a great Xmas!

Life's short.....drive it.

Default Driving At Year's End

Nope, not me. Here in Putnam County, New York, (50 miles north of NYC) the roads are full of salt, and my frame doesn't have a speck of rust on it, and I plan on keeping it that way. Get under your everyday driver, and find a drop of water hanging off of it. Touch it with your finger and then taste it---SALTY ???

My Corvette stays in the garage until mid to late April after the April showers wash all of the salt off of the roads. Of course, I will start it periodically and back it out of the garage, and let it run for a half hour or so to burn the condensation out of the exhaust, but drive it on the roads---NOT UP HERE !!!

RON
