Another ebay original!
Did you see the 67 listed as a "rare" find. One of the original few small blocks with factory installed stinger hood. Seller quotes Noland's Vol#2 that for only a few days in late Feb. early March 1967 were these hoods installed. He then lists the VIN for the car as being over 20000 which makes the build date June of 1967, and includes a photo of the VIN plate.

I hope the 56 bidders and the buyer at $850,704 knew enough about the red & black car. I don't think it was all original, but it was a fine restoration with the best available parts.

Any serial number would be too high, cause this thing just didnt happen boys. At least it didnt the way Noland`s book states that it did. I am not saying that it couldnt have, on a single unit or maybe a couple, but the parts shortage scenario isnt plausible and the description in the book is full of holes. The blue car IS the one described in the book, and believe me guys, their aint no proof there what so ever. As a matter of fact that car has features that go far to disprove its validity. Again I ask ,as I always do when this subject comes up, please show us the evidence if you know where one of these cars is.

How could someone prove that the BB hood on their SB '67 is original? Weren't stinger hoods standard equipment on BB cars? Was there actually paperwork for a stinger hood on BB '67 vettes? "IF" there wasn't, why would there then be paperwork for the same BB hood on SB vettes if that was the only hood to use at the time?

Yes, there are ways of telling. Interestingly, I asked the seller what proof he had other than the story. I also asked for specific pictures of certain items. It has been two days and NO reply. I guess that he doesnt want me to bid on it.
