My headlights work great on low beam, when I switch to high beams, I lose all headlights. Any idea where I should start to run this gremlin down?

I just went through having the same problem with mine. Replaced the dimmer switch with a new one from Napa. Now everything works great. It was simple and cheap for a change. Hope thats all your problem is.

Pat, did you ask for a 63 headlight dimmer switch, or is there a generic version that fits?

Just say "Chevy" when you belly up to the counter. Have the old one in your pocket. Avoid saying "Corvette" in a parts store.

Yep. had the same problem. Replaced the switch and everything works fine again.

However.....if it is a Gremlin...you shouldn't poor water on it...

I just asked for a dimmer switch for a 64 Chevy. The guy at the counter handed me one that looked just like the one I took out.

Say 'Corvette' at the parts counter only as a last resort.
Start with " '67 Chebby", then "390 horsepower", then "manual transmission" etc.
