Default Don Olson Electrical Schematics--You need This

After picking up an e-mail address in another thread for the electrical schematics that Don Olson makes, I ordered one which arrived today. This is a thing of beauty. All of the wires on the print are the correct colors as
the wiring on the car and the print is large enough so that it is easy to follow where everything starts and ends. Air conditioning hookups, etc are also on here. By far the best automobile electrical schematic that I have ever seen. I can now understand why people frame these and put them on their walls. Anyone that has a Corvette- years 1953-1978 should have one of these if they do any repair work at all on them. If you are interested, then you can contact Don at e-mail vetsvette2002@yahoo.com Guaranteed the best electrical money you'll
ever spend. You'll be impressed. Jim

Don,

I know this is a long-shot, but do you have the schematic for the original radio in a '64?

Tom,
I do not, yet, have the schematics for the radios. People who are qualified to repair a radio, using such things as a frequency generator are few so the market is limited.
Have you tried doing a google search?

I made one for my 66 using a photo editor. It not only has A-C connections, it shows how the dash controls hook up to the A-C, wiper motor, lights, etcetera. On top of that I threw in the electric fan and controller, the cruise control, the electric choke, pertronix ignition, auxiliary headlamps, and alarm. Unlike the GM diagram - it has the components in their correct location (coil and battery on the left, compressor on the right, starter at the rear, etcetera).

Custom is better. A little effort and it's all there.

I couldn't agree more with everyone's opinion. The colored lines were very helpful indeed when I replaced the engine harness a few days ago. Some of the old wires were the wrong color from when Bubba worked on the car. Twice Bubba decided to take power from a different harness than Chevy did , so having COLORED lines to trace out made it much easier to unscramble the wiring. Thanks for the great product Don!

I just received my “Work of Art” wiring diagram for my 58 from Don Olson. WOW is all I can say.

It is the perfect size for my aging eyes to read and with the multiple colors it is an absolute pleasure to read. I had just about given up working on the electrical system because I could no longer correctly follow my old lectric limited schematic I bought 30 years ago when I had eagle eyes.

Thanks Don for a great product.

How about creating a big print colored version of the assembly manual for my 58.

Don't have that.
But I did create a database of the AIM. It allows for searches by part name or part number. This was created in MICRSOFT 's ACCESS and is REQUIRED to view and use. I have also done this for the following years, 1961 through 70, and 1973. I am currently trying to create the database for the 1971.
I have been dispersing these on the NCRS and www.Vetteheads.com
web sites for the past few years. I am yet to raise my price on these.

Default Just Received Mine!

By golly, it is suitable for framing...and I can actually see the wires and where they go!

It will make a great addition to the garage wall all framed up for easy reference!

Thanks, Mr Olson

Hi Don,

Can you provide diagrams for my very early 1956 Corvette. Car is dual quad, automatic power top car. How do I go about receiving a set?

Thanks,
Rick

Thanks for resurrecting this thread. Always good to bring Don's diagrams to the attention of newer CF folks.
