Something caught my eye at Mecum so I'm listing my '65 396 Coupe. Car underwent a full professional frame-off restoration and is a 2x Bloomington Gold winner (2022, 2023). Also took an NCRS top flight. Factory options include: 4 speed manual transmission, sidepipes, green leather interior, tinted glass, teakwood steering wheel, am/fm radio, and telescopic steering column. Was 396/425 a rare option? Were they optioned with A/C? What is the gear ratio? Any unusual mods?

it was a rare option, only approximately 2,100 of the 23,500 corvettes produced that year were 396s. It’s got the 4:11 positraction. Car is bone stock with no aftermarket modifications. Also does not have AC, that was another rare option in that year. I don’t believe you could get AC with a 396 car but I’ll defer to the gurus on that!
