So many writers say the '58 was over-wrought...too much chrome trim etc.
I never felt that way. Love the hood louvers and trunk 'spears' and chrome headlight bezels, toothy grill. Here the overused word "awesome" actually applies!
I didn't realize prices were this high on '58's nowadays, but it makes sense. Incredible looking cars !

I am planning to sell my 1958 Panama Yellow. $115K, make reasonable offer. Located in SC.
1958 Corvette Convertible, two tops, 283-270 hp, (2x4's), 4 speed. Panama Yellow paint with Charcoal interior and Black soft top. Was body-on restored with newer paint, interior, top, chrome, stainless, exhaust, and radial white-wall tires. Sought after one year only color (Panama Yellow). Optioned with auxiliary hardtop, T-10 transmission, posi, Wunderbar radio (not working), dual fours, courtesy light, heater, seat belts, hubcaps, and newer radial wide white-wall tires. Most all factory correct type components including the spare, replacement jack, jack tools, trunk mat, trunk liner, rebound straps, shifter, shielding, air cleaner, generator, washboard hood, trunk irons, owner’s manual, and sales brochure.
