Default FS - not my car , 67 vert

Have any of you looked at this car ? if so, can you share your observations. It meets most of my criteria with the exception that it's 3000 miles away and would require a plane ride to see it + would need to find a competent inspector ( C2 expert ) to examine frame / birdcage / body . Anyone know of a good inspection service in Massachusetts ?

Here's the link to the car for sale....

Looks like an interesting car in very nice condition. Underside pictures would be helpful at this early stage. Trim and Vin tags too. At the asking price however, you could also find a nice documented L79 convertible with original drivetrain. Performance is exceptional, value is higher than the base 300hp, and you don’t have to haul around and store the original engine.

Here are some underbody pics ... what are your thoughts ? Look at the photo with trim and vin tags where you can see the Z bar. It looks like the bottom ( underside ) of the Z bar has a lot of rust discoloration. Do you draw the same conclusion ?

is this rust on bottom of z bar ?

I think that the rust you are looking at under the tags is typical surface rust. 20 Years in Mass. not uncommon. Overall I think it looks great.

I've seen a lot of C2s and C3s, and that one is VERY clean. I also lived in the salt belt for several years and that is not a salt car. My vettes look like that underneath after a drive when I get in a storm. Pretty sweet car to me. Good luck!

My 67 coupe I had from Sep. 68 - Aug 74, I drove in the winters. Almost everyday everywhere, didn't look bad. I washed it, and underside all the time. To me, it looks like it sat for a little time, then cleaned, painted. these spots looks like from driving. My thoughts
