THIS COUPE WAS PURCHASED NEW IN ARIZONA, STAYED THERE UNTIL 1985. THIS VETTE IS A RARE COMBINATION OF THINGS, FIRST OF ALL IT IS A TRUE SURVIVOR MATCHING #'S CAR WITH ONE REPAINT IN THE 80'S (STILL LOOKS VERY NICE). MOSTLY ORIGINAL SADDLE INTERIOR, A MINT FRAME AND BIRD CAGE. CAR HAS 103K ORIGINAL MILES. THIS IS A TRUE L-79, A /C WITH BROWN TINT WINDSHIELD, 4 SPEED, P/S, WITH A 3:70-1 LIMITED SLIP REAR, A FACTORY TELESCOPING COLUMN (LESS THAN 10%OF 66 BUILD HAVE AIR OR TELESCOPING WHEEL). ALL DOCUMENTED WITH ORIGINAL OWNERS MANUAL AND PROTECTO PLATE. NOW THE GOOD STUFF. A NEW SET OF BOLT ON KNOCK OFFS AND SPEED RATED GOODYEAR TIRES ADDED RECENTLY, ORIGINAL WHEELS AND HUBCAPS AVAILABLE -ENGINE WAS REBUILT 5K MILES AGO. I remember when I first started looking for a mid year coupe, which was a few years ago, this car was for sale back then.
That does not surprise me. I think the ask is high a 66 white coupe and thus still on the market. My advise for a buyer is: be patient, know the market, and look for high quality cars. Do not let the initial asking price turn you off. Many times the sellers start by asking for top dollar and, after they have tested the market, they will accept a much more reasonable offer; especially as summer ends.
These guys do consignment sales (so good chance it is real). Some of the worst ad pictures I have ever seen (maybe why it has not sold) so my guess is it is consignment. It looks to be a western car which is always nice for condition.
It has been on the market for a while so maybe there is room to offer if it should meet your checklist...
Here's one for you. I spoke with the 20 year owner of this car today. The owner and car are now located in Savannah, GA. No POP but claims to have the original window sticker.
