I’ve known the seller of this ’66, Matt, for years and his Corvettes are top-notch. He’s incredibly knowledgeable about his cars and spot on with the descriptions. I call him when I’m looking at a local car for sale for his expertise and eye.

Wow, and the original owner traded in a 1959 Austin Healy to get it.

Default Added additional pics

Got her off the lift for the first time this year. Fired right up! Took some additional pictures. Again this car has a near perfect paint, body, chrome, and top that has never even been down! If you look close you can even see the clear bra that was installed after the repaint. When have you ever seen a clear bra on a C2? That's why it's near perfect! And if you look at the rear license plate you can see the original Taylor Chevrolet (Flemington, NJ) metal emblem that I found in a parts box with the car. Was taken off when the car was painted (and mounting holes filled!).

When I see a car this nice and priced right I wonder if there are any legitimate buyers here. Beautiful car I wish I was in the market.

2023 C8 of the Year Finalist - Unmodified
C2 of Year Finalist (stock) 2019

Default Additional information

Just to add some information that might be helpful (and putting my ad "to the top"), I believe this car was repainted 16 years ago in 2004 , when also the engine was reconditioned/rebuilt and the top was replaced. While I am not a paint and body expert, the fact that this car's paint job is still, after 16 years, near flawless (my opinion) speaks to the excellent condition of the no hit body and the quality of the paint job done at the time. Not one hint of any seams showing, peeling of any kind, cracking anywhere, dulling, etc. I realize that some of the preserved condition has to do with the very low mileage put on the car since the repaint but still says a lot about the original condition of the body and quality of job done. I believe it will be hard to find a nicer paint, body, top, chrome, and interior at this price.

Pretty car for sure. I saw this one this morning when I joined, but forgot to comment.
How long have you owned the car?
Can you post good quality photos of the underside?
How much have you driven it since its a driver?
Mechanically, does it need or require anything?

Thanks,
Fred

I have seen this car at the Golden Super Cruise and can atest that the pictures do not lie. This car is even better in person GLWS.

I get to look at a lot of Corvettes for sale weekly through out the country. This looks like a very nice example of car in a very nice color combo. It appears to be in very nice condition. The original factory documentation is icing on the cake. This car is priced to sell and should sell quickly. In fact non original motor cars have similar asking price. Good luck with your sale.

Good afternoon. I've been looking at several cars and missed your reply. I was open to roadster, but prefer a '65 coupe and that is what I purchased last week. Good luck with your sell.
Thanks,
Fred M.

Default The Car Has Been Sold

I appreciate the positive posts on my car in this thread!
The car has been sold and will soon be on its way to the Phoenix area.
Now I sit, Vetteless, on a waiting list for a C8 convertible that I hope I can get by this time next year!
Regards to all,
Matt in Golden
