I'm very new to posting here, so I have no idea whether the photos I'm submitting will post correctly. Also, I realize that what I'm asking is like looking for a needle in a haystack, but I figure nothing ventured nothing gained.

If any of you come across the C1 that I'm linking to, please contact me at either reraney@comcast.net or ronr5598@yahoo.com. This vehicle is currently shown on the Vette Hound website (www.vettehound.com) and you can get get the full description there, but the site seems inactive and may not have been updated since 2013. I have sent an email to the owner shown, but the site does so indirectly through the user name, not by showing the actual email address --- in other words, I'm not really expecting a response.

Any help appreciated. Thanks very much.

Ron

I would sell my house and buy all the cars on that sight for the prices listed for those cars. Its a scam ..... Maybe some cars are real but most just want your cash.

I've had the same experience you have had with that particular website (VH). Honestly, I wouldn't bother with them....all the red flags are there to avoid them.

Thanks very much to those who have replied so far. I appreciate your concern, but please know that I understand the danger presented by the Vette Hound website. Still, I need to find this C1 if possible, so any further replies along those lines will be likewise appreciated.

To expand on what was said above, there have been some suggestions that site may have photos of a car not even owned by the poster. Joe Scammer might download some pics from the web or a CL ad, and a couple years later might put up a "For Sale" ad using those pics.

That's a rather memorable '62 and hopefully somebody will recognize it and point you toward it. My point is chasing that web site may be a waste of time. Post the pics in C1/2 General and maybe you'll get lucky!
