Wtb: 67 427/400
Looking for a ’67 427/400 4 spd car to replace the one I sold a couple years ago. I may actually end up buying that car back, but I want to see what else is out there first; looking to buy within the next couple of months.
400hp coupe preferred, but will consider convertibles or 435hp cars too. Original side exhaust car preferred.
No maroon cars
No green cars
No super high (numerically) rear end ratios
Original drivetrain
Restored or rust-free survivor considered, but no projects
Must have original tank sticker, original tags, and ideally a PoP and owner history to new. Happy to pay a fair price for the right car.
Thanks in advance.

Removed, change of heart. Just decided I'd rather keep it.
OP good luck with your search.

I note that the craigslist add has been taken down. How could it be an original BB if it has an AOS body? Interesting stuff.

"The A.O. Smith Paint Shop physical layout wasn’t conducive to the time-consuming and labor-intensive masking required to paint the contrasting colors on the ’67 big-block “stinger” hood and header panel, and their personnel were never able to master the masking process successfully. As a result, it’s generally accepted that only a few very early ’67 big-block bodies (or none at all) were built at A.O. Smith."

Any AO Smith bodied midyear could not come from the factory with sidepipes. In 1967 an AO Smith bodied car could not be a big block (couldn't paint the hood correctly),but could be a big block in 1965 or 1966. I think.

I see, so my mistake was in reading no Bigblocks built at A.O. Smith when the comment made was in reference to only '67 Bigblocks but it does sound like there could be some legitimate 67 Bigblock Vettes built at the A.O. Smith plant...yes? Apologies to the OP for getting off track but this still might be helpful in his search.
