I totally think there is a market for
C1, C2, C3 Vette kit cars. I don't believe
it would affect the Vette collector car market in
the least.
The AC Cobra kit cars have done very
well, so why not Corvette kit cars?
A universal chassis that would accomodate C1,
C2, and C3 bodies. A modern braking system,
appropriate interiors with options.Suspension
options from cruiser to track setups.
Chevy crate motor options from mild to wild.
I believe the time has come for Vette kit cars.
Classic looks and super car performance for $30k-$40k.

Hey Sted Thanks for getting back with me. I know of 2 companys that provide a 62 kit to a turnkey ride. Hytek Hot Rods, and Timeless Rods & Customs. Hytek is way over priced for me (a turnkey for around $150,000.)( unless I misunderstood them) and Timeless is still working on putting together a build sheet. They have the chassis and body. I was thinking that maybe there were more places that offer this type of car. I have tryed all the search words I can think of. any other words I can try?

I instead ended up buying a complete real 1956 for $38,500. Plus I can hopefully always sell it easy for what I paid. I have about $50K into it now but it's about done, I just wanted it all working, running, and driving safe after 40 years in storage and I did a new soft top and interior. It's allot more gratifying knowing it's a real one too, these have been my dream car since 6 years old.
If they were turn-key kits for only $30 or $35K, I would have bought one.

www.kitcarlist.com is a pretty comprehensive list of kit car makers.
I saw '53, '58-'60, and '62 kits from various manufacturers.
Some with tube frames, some off C5 donor cars.
You probably would be money ahead by finding a NOM
non-collectible '62 and retro-rodding it.
A $30k-$35k kit car would not include a drivetrain.
"Turnkey" ready to drive would cost a lot more.
That website was very entertaining.
