'61 Fuelie for sale
I see that the local Vettes only shop has a 1961 Fuelie for
sale for $79,000. If anyone is interested I can stop in and
take some pics and check the car out. It is a white/silver
cove/red interior car. From the pics it looks fairly original
except for cragars. Not much info on the website, corvette-express.

I have received a couple of checks from Forum
members for checking out other cars, but I never
ask for anything or expect it. Maybe when I do
actually retire I could do something for Joe for
some extra bucks. I have helped in probably 12
or so sales from Corvette-Express and from
private sellers also. I'm not in a position to add
a toy at this time, so this is fun for me. I'm living
vicariously through the buyer, and having fun.

Thanks again Runar, I just report what I see.
I have recommended and rejected cars. If I
would not buy it myself at the price offered
that's what I tell people. I try to report warts and all.
The only advantage I have with Joe is, he has
known me a long time and trusts me to test drive
any cars that someone might be interested in. He
does a thorough inspection on all cars he brings in
on consignment, and that info is available to any
prospective buyer. He will also rack a car for me
for pics, inspection, etc.
When Joe brings in a car I think Forum members
might be interested in I get the word out.
Right now the '61 Fuelie, and the '96 CE LT4 are
his most interesting cars, to me.

I was told last weekend that the
engine numbers check out as original,
but the trans and rearend do not.
Needs a general detailing inside and
out. The paint is maybe a ten footer
or a little better. Overall the car seems
pretty solid.
