Jim, I don't know the car but a 92.8% positive feed back would make me ask questions about WHY.

92% feedback on a guy with a total number of 58 is not that big of a deal. With the way eBay works, it only takes one azzhat to get you a negative because he bid on something he didn't think through or whatever. I know because I have very high feedback, but a guy bought a cnc part from me. Plugged it in wrong and it blew (go figure). Then he had teh nads to tell me all this and want his money back. When I refused, he left me a negative.
Still like to kick him in his box!!!!!!!!

This is true. I had 100% feedback from 1997 to this year, until ebay just changed the rules and recalculated feedback including 1 neutral and ruined my feedback score. Plus now they just take the last year (instead of your whole body of work) so its a much smaller number in calculation, making the % lower. Feedback means very little now.

EDIT: I looked at his feedback... 1 negative in 12 sales (the last year). This is why the % is so high. An argument about a car sale... you can look at that, sounds like a typical car sale argument.

Another thing, the guy might be a dealer judging by the feedback... this might affect taxation based on your state's laws. It would here.

I don't know the car, but it looks pretty good. Still, you have to see it in person. I bought my '58 off ebay but only after I went out and looked at the car. Pics always look better than the car. Ask about expensive items like door and windshield post chrome, (he says the chrome is done, but ask specifically about these), correct gauge condition, (gauges were "gone through" but are they cosmetically nice and correct?) etc. I spent thousands on that.

He also says he went through the 283 but does not comment on the correctness. '59 motors can't "number match" (no VIN) but the block number and dates can be correct, even if they can't be matching. This is important. I'd also want to know if body panels are replacement, especially in the front.

I would seriously consider what the disappointed buyer had to say about another auction from the seller of this Corvette.

"Car was not accurately discribed, the car needed major engine repairs. bestacuras ( 23) Mar-07-08 10:06"

Buyer beware!
I would take a look for myself if I was very interested.

Have an expert from NCRS inspect it for you. Then you will know for sure.

Good luck.
