Default GS wheel weight

anybody know the EXACT weight of an A-mold GS 11" wheel ?

I'm buying GS wheels or CCW's for the rear of my C4.
I'm really stuck between the 2. I like both looks equally.

I can get the CCW's in 11 or 11.5" or the GS wheels in the standard 11"

The CCW's are about 20lbs, or even lighter with the lightening holes. Hopefully someone here knows what the GS wheels weigh?

I can weight them with the tires then you can deduct tire weight. I can do it Sat if you don't find out CCW is lighterI forgot how much.

that would be nice, but I don't know what your goodyears weigh.

Kumho's list weights on their website, but my highly accurate manufacturing scale at work shows weight to the tenth on a pound. So I know what my Kumho's weigh exactly vs what Kumho says on there website.

not that I'm racing, but I hate carrying heavy stuff, and every pound matters to my back !!

The A mold 11" wheel on my car weighs 25.5 lbs. The CCW wheel I run for autocross, also 11", weighs 18.9 lbs. BIG difference, and unsprung weight. You didn't ask, but A mold 9.5" weighs 24.2 lbs, CCW weighs 17.4 lbs.

Do you happen to know what a full-tread Victoracer 315 weighs? Kumho claims 33 pounds.

my 1996 9.5" amolds weigh 20.3 lbs and another weighs 20.4 lbs.
my 275-17 kumho victor racer weighs 29.4 lbs. heavy weight!!!!
these are exact weights on a very expensive scale.

the other person above with the 24 lb amold must be AFS copy.

so the question still remains, what does the 11" GS wheel weigh ??

46 GS with 315 GYGSCS and 40 for the 275

tires are 25 and 28 lb. no rim.

Math leaves you with 18 rear and 15 front for the rims.

there is NO way GS rims weigh 18lbs.
that would make them lighter than CCW's

I'm thinking 21-22 lbs.

don't know what the rubber I used weights on the tires they are still good as the dimple are easily seen. Going by GY spec weights. CCW's are rebuildable if you bang them. What did the CCW's #'s?

post in ZR-1 section as the rim is the same except for offset
Same A-mold rim

Larry I posted it over there already. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=812396

If CCW's are 5 lbs lighter they cost $300 each more than my AFS GS wheels,
that $1200 more for a set..

GS wheels weigh 22 lbs.
I havn't weighed one personally, but 2 different sources say 22 lbs.
and I'm sure my 17x9.5" weigh 20.3 pounds, so it would make sense GS rears weigh 22lbs.

CCW's weigh ABOUT 20-21 lbs according to CCW. I beleive that is without the lightening holes. maybe a pound less with the lightening holes.....
I would have to weigh one to be certain.

Make that three sources. 22 as I had stated elsewhere. Front measured 21. Looks like my scale is accurate based on the other two.
Regarding the weight reduction of CCW wheels. They are done in two stages. Non-visible and visible. Mine were done in the non-visible way only (less weight reduced, but much better looks).
What days do you have access to the scale you had mentioned?
