I emailed them (probably a year ago) to see if they had plans for manufacturing tires in wider widths. Also didn't receive any reply.

That just pisses me off as much as people that don't return phone calls!

We can be assured that Kumho has heard the pleas of Z06 owners. If they have not acted upon those pleas yet, they nonetheless have heard the pleas. A lot of people have struggled through running Kumhos on the front and Hoosiers in the back. If one wants to go to 17" wheels, one can run 335s out back, but, in SCCA Solo2, a change in wheel size moves one out of SS into ASP or SM2. I have acquaintances who have gone to SM2 partially out of frustration with the tire availability cost ratio issue.

after running thru two sets of goodyear race tires pretty quickly, i have given in and bought a set of 17 in zr1 wheels and have just ordered a set of kuhmo victoracers 315's and 275's. will compare and report.

I hacked kumho for years to make tires for the 96 impala SS. finally only recently did they come out with street tires in the proper size.

Try the BFG KD's (Not the KDW's) MattG, a popular AutoCross member on the CF and who has power very similar to me recommended them and it was the best decision I made. They come in 295's and 315 DR's. I hope one day they go to a 315 street.
