You need to put street tires back on it and get seat time. Stop making your car faster. The setup could be wrong also what are the spring rates and alignment settings?

I did put the street tires back on it. I am not making the car faster, with the Goodyear tires, I am going "slower" but turning better times and consistency due to seat time and Instructor ride along.

Alignment - C6 ZO6 Track Setup

Front
Camber (deg): changed to -2.0deg 12.8.21
Caster (deg): 7.5 - 8.5
Total Toe: 0

Rear
Camber (deg): -.8
Total Toe: 1/8" (0.33°) to 1/16" (0.17°) IN

I will confirm spring rates

Next two mods I will pursue:
1. Engine cooling - temps crept up to the point I was not comfortable running the car. Oil 250-260 deg F, coolant 230-235 deg F.
2. Safety - fire protection - PPE & fire extinguisher on harness bar.

Are these the alignment setting you were using with slicks? You need way more camber and more rear toe in.

So, not much action here - some updates:
1. Did Pitt Race (first time) July 1 - it was awesome! What a great track and had my usual coach with me who also tracks a ZO6 to show me the "Corvette line"
2. Ran street tires for more seat time as advised on here
3. Ended up smoking the brakes (stock calipers, Hawk DTC-70 pads front and DBA T3 4000 rotors, good high temp fluid). Last session out, brakes failed to the floor coming into turn 16 / 17. Scary, I was Novice Solo for the open session end of the day.

Do not have too many pics from Pitt. What a great track, hope to go back next year.

Next up is Nelsons Ledges on Aug 20th. (Then one more Mid-Ohio and VIR in October)

Updates for August:
1. AP racing 372mm kit front. This was on my list but wasn't scheduled until Winter. Glad I did, there was little left of the Hawk pads after just two track days.
2. AMT camber kit
3. Toyo R888R tires. Was running Goodyear Supercar 3 (non-R models). they are holding up well, still some life left.
4. Track wheels back on with above rubber. Needed the clearance for the new AP calipers. Did not want to get into spacers and long wheel studs on the factory wheels. May get that setup for options.
5. Track alignment with more camber, see readings / settings.

That must have been hell to drive with all that rear toe out. Glad to see you got that straightened out.

That may be a result of putting the different wheels on there. I don’t think it was that bad as i have it aligned anytime I change something.

nice roads down here. I-77 southbound was closed Thursday. A truck overturned and spilled chemicals. Turned around went northbound on I-79 then south down state route 19 in WV. Great road and lots of fun.

Went to the “wheels tough time” motorcycle museum in Maggie Valley. Highly recommended if you’re in the area.

You are correct, I am not serious. He was showing me the line to run, that is all. I was new to the track and was having a challenge putting turns 7 thru 11 together and finding correct braking and turn in points.

I was just there for the first time last weekend. 7 through 11 are quite tricky! None of the turns are the same as another so they dont really flow.

Yep, well aware of 7-11 at PITT, what a great track! My comment was more based on showing a different line because he was driving a Corvette vs driving the correct line.

Yes, I can understand how my comment sounded now. I was new to that track and wasn't getting his instruction so he showed me the way / correct line to follow.

It is a great track and I look forward to going back next year. Correct, 7-11 can get you into trouble and the following turns / blind corners.

I had it corner balanced and it showed 3117#. Since then I have put in the Sparco seats, AP racing brake Kit, and BC Forged wheels. I also installed a harness bar - so let;s just say the car is at 3,117#, because I can't really say for sure.

Car is in the shop now to fix the heads along with some other items. I haven't been posting much in this build thread. Starting to get excited for the 2023 HPDE season!

I did VIR in October with NASA and really enjoyed it. Stayed at the track in one of the Condos at the uphill esses, hope to return in October again.

Have not set a schedule for 2023 yet. It's about time to start signing up.

What part of Ohio are you in? I'm in Cincinnati. Just picked up a 2008 AO Z06 late last year and wanting to hit Mid-Ohio sometime this year.

Nice build thread here! Keep it up.
