Default C5 Brey Krause harness bar with custom seat side mounts

Hey racers I need some advice. I have had a BK harness bar in my C5 for years and now finally upgrading my seat game to a Sparco FIA seat with some custom seat rails that are similar to most adjustable seat rails. Since the BK harness bar has the leg that shares a mounting position with the seat mount on the floor, what have you guys done to adapt this mounting system? Did you modify the foot of the harness bar leg? Or something else?

I put a BK bar in a friends car with a Corbeau FX1 on AMT rails. I had to flatten the lower mount for the bar (take the bent step out), and enlarge the hole to fit the AMT stud. Then just shortened the bar by screwing the rod end in more.

I just did this too. AMT mounts with bk bar. IFrom floor up: washer, bk bar stud extender, 2 machine washers to take up the offset of the BK down bar, the another fender washer to make more surface for seat rail to sit on.

Any issues inserting the bolt for the harness bar? I can thread in the factory shoulder belt guide bolt by hand but get lots of resistance with the BK supplied bolt that replaces it. The factory bolt is supposed to be m12-1.75 but when I went tested it at Home Depot it only fit 1/2”-13 coarse. The BK bolt fit the m12-1.75. Picked up a couple of bolts that matched the factory threads and they also had a lot of resistance.

A 10.9 m12x1.75 bolt from HD worked for me. I don't have the factory belts in so use a 40mm bolt and a washer on each side of the bar with the collar for the shoulder belt removed. I think there is some crusty thread lock in the bolt hole. Mine was a little snug going in too.
