Default Any pics of Dailey/Popp dry sump install

I am working on installing the Dailey dry sump system on our C5. I am using the Danny Popp tank, and looking to install it in the passenger fender area. The ECU has already been relocated. I'm looking for any pictures/advice from those who have already done this.

Thanks
Ken

Their system uses Aviaid parts and I believe a smaller tank. The online article shows a picture of the bracket, and that's about it. I'm putting the tank in the same place, so it at least confirmst that. I just don't know how the actual tank size compares. The most useful bit was seeing that they removed the hood latch mechanism. Thanks for the suggestion to check it out.

What does a Danny Popp tank look like? I've done a.r.e., peterson, custom built peterson, and gm c6 tanks in c5s. What's the difference? With the Dailey, make sure you use -16 supply to the tank and -16 scavenge out to the tank and add an inline filter from scavenge out to tank in.

Do you know the dimensions of the Popp tank?

I'm just finishing up an install of a 2.5 gal. 6" diameter tank in the passenger fender, and was planning on taking a few pics anyway. I can post them here if they would be helpful.

A Corvette, but not a C5. I had Peterson build a tall, 7" dia., 3-gallon tank for my Dailey dry sump motor. I wanted as tall a tank as I could fit for head pressure, per Bill Dailey's advice. It has -16 scavenge and feed ports, and a -12 inlet port for the air-oil separator line. My pump has the separator built in as the last stage. I used a -16 Peterson in-line filter on the pump to tank scavenge line and I also put a -12 Peterson inline filter in the separator line. The two upper ports are for lines to the vent tank, and the lower port on the right side of the tank is for an oil heater, but it could also be used for the oil temp gage. Hope this helps.

I'm pretty sure Danny uses the 2.5 gallon Pettersen talk, but has it modified for the factory temp sensor.

As you can see, the Popp tank is a Peterson tank about 7" in diameter and 21" tall. It does have a port near the output sized for a temp sensor.

To get the tank to fit, I had to remove the battery/ECU metal bracket; cut away the upper fender support a bit; and cut away some of the plastic undertray at the bottom.

To mount the tank, I will weld some angle or square tubing to the frame rail and bolting the clamps to those. I will take some pics when I do that.
