Wheels that fit C5 with big brakes?
Hello,
I was curious if any of you road racers know what wheels will fit a C5 with C6 Z06 brakes or big brake kits? I am currently running rear C5 Z06 wheels at all 4 corners, but there are very few tire options available and I'd like to consider a different wheel design.
Thanks in advance!

Call John at CCW and tell him what you are looking to run and he will specify what will work. I'm pretty sure the fronts should be 18 x 11" with a 8.25" backspacing but you have some options for the rear.

I started a thread about what wheels fit our Essex Designed AP Racing Competition Brake Kits. Some good info, including wheel fitment templates there.
Please do yourself a favor and steer clear of bolting the C6 Z06 OEM brakes onto your car. Do some digging on this forum for the plethora of reasons why! You'll have bigger, heavier components, but I definitely wouldn't consider them 'better' than OEM C5 brakes for track use.
I think budget is a big consideration. You should probably list some type of max dollar value you'd like to spend on wheels. Some popular wheels among our brake kit customers are Forgeline, CCW Corsair Series, and Finspeed. I had those exact Kinesis wheels shown above (I wonder if those are mine?!? ). I also ran Enkei NT03+M's. They never seemed to be a big hit in the Vette market, but they were cost-effective and performed well for me.
In terms of bang-for-the-buck, the CCW Corsair series seems to hit a fairly sweet spot in terms of price for performance. They tend to have a huge amount of brake caliper clearance. Forgeline is tough to beat if you have the budget though.

Update to my earlier post. I went back and checked the data on sizes. CCws with 11" width up front and 12" in back. 18" diameter with 8.5" offset. They definitely stick out past the fenders. About 2".

This is the front kit I am running. I like it. 18" all corners with 14" rotors.

Thanks, I'll likely stick with my C5Z rear wheels for now. At least until I can land a good deal on a used set of custom wheels before I fork out the coin for CCW's or alike. Another option would be to go wide body and run C6 GS/Z06 wheels, but I know I will never be 100% happy with the body work. The struggle is real!

Car looks great! I'd love to do the widebooty, I just know that I'll never be 100% happy with the fitment .
