Default Upgrading the DP

The DP is an awesome race car but she's obsolete now.

I can still beat the Ligier DPs but we got our but kicked by a Ginetta G57.

The G57 has near same straight line performance w better aerodynamics & 400# less.

Talking to Crew Chief re what to do. More power is always good.

Like 1000hp

Got to do something about the weight. I'm finally on a serious diet cus 30# less will help at this point.

We'll b adding the biplane rear wing & only for no banking we'll use a diffuser.

He said no to supercharger & I'm not wild about turbos.

NITROUS!!!!!!

Get beat by the Ginetta, go buy a Ginetta. Problem solved.

I was watching those two Ginetta G57s turn laps at the NASA 25 Hours of Thunder Hill and it was impressive. Had the CLP Motorsports Gallardo Super Trofeo and Flying Lizard's R8 LMS covered by a few seconds per lap.

I would imagine the G57 is also cheaper than the DP car, right?

I'd rather beat it w a Corvette

Hoping Chevy decides to build a Corvette DPi

By end of 2017 I'll have to get a new car. We'll see what pops up between now & then

The Mazda DPi is beautiful but too much $$$

I doubt you will get a Corvette DPi, they have the Cadillac for prototype, and the Corvette in GT.

Give me a call. We have some new LT stuff in the pipeline that would be perfect for it.

Good man, Corvette is worth developing, If your budget can take it, start cutting weight with uber light weight (think F1) parts, but you'll need to rebuild replace them a lot. They only last a race or so.

That's a great idea. We will drop some weight where we can. I'm trying to drop 30# off myself.

Don't think F1 style will happen as it's not in the budget but will see what's possible.

Does your series allow the CF wheels? Would probably need to be custom made.

Been talking to Crew Chief and we'll start by upgrading to 2016 spec, my car is 2009.

We already did paddle shift. Next is dual element wing & ground effects in the side pods, this should be good for the banking, maybe drop 2 sec.

Later we'll do the rear diffuser for infield events or tracks w no banking.

Go turbos and stop f'ing about! With your sequential and decent ratios turbos will always be on the boil and with electronic wastegates you have massive control over boost / turbo airflow. With a half decent ECU you can have very good control over the turbos. Delivery could be made very linear.

Are you mandated on what fuel you can run? Might even be able to run no intercooler if you can run some exotic fuel!
