The track will be closed at the conclusion of our event, June 29 or 30, and will remain closed until late July, probably around the 29th(guessing) Currently, the track remains in good driving condition, some patch work evident, but does not effect traction when dry. I ran 42 days at VIR last year, and only the patched areas appear to be cosmetic only. Last week, with Chin, and with new R7s, I had no problem easily running 2:11 - 12 (s) with no grip issues. Back next 3 day week end with Tarheel, then NCM the 27 , 28. Look forward to seeing all.
vz

ps - I have not seen any pairings.

I have run quite a few 10+ days this year .. And many more last year track is in good shape .. The normal offs at 5-6-7 in the rain ...
But that little drop off seams to get quite a few people by surprise in the wet ...

My 07 Z was able to pull a 2:0175 this year and my buddy poor sha ran a sub 2 in his new Z ... The track is fine ...

Need to get on Doninion soon but from videos it's bumpy as heck with NO room for error ....

Speaking of T 5-6-7. This is why I keep AH on in the rain. Also, watch that sealer if it rains - in the dry it's fine.

I won't make this event due to work but I will be there the weekend prior with PCA Zone 2.

I was going to attend the NASA event at Dominion before this event and drive to Danville Sunday evening.
However Dominion isn't ready for NASA so I'll show the wife my old house in Thornburg and do some sight seeing and head to Danville Sunday early.

Anyone know if Tech and registration is going to be at the same hotel as in years past?

Yes - the Sleep Inn that has been the "host hotel" for many years.

The event info packet says:
Tech Inspection/Registration for all participants will take place at the host hotel from approximately 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Sunday June 26th.
C'ya there!!

I will be sending out pairings within the next 3-4 days as the registration list firms up.

I will be back this year, if I Duramax doesn't let me down again (DPF and DEF DELETED this year)! Track was in excellent shape for Hyperfest last month!
