So the widest RE-71R I can get for 18X10.5 wheels is 285/30/18? For autocross should I get this/285 wide or the wider 305 or 315 wide Rival-S?

Get the Michelins. I used to be a Bridgestone fan, but not anymore. The only tire manufacture that offers real tire sizes anymore is Michelin. Get the tire that fills out the wheel better, and keeps the overall diameter.

Why are most if not all these 200 tw tires only w speed rated? I want at least a y speed rating.

I'm afraid only you can answer that question. If you prefer a crisp turn in and can put down power (varies with setup/driver), 275 F/285 R RE71's might be best. If you want to maximize power delivery and/or need more heat tolerance (90+ degs F, with a co-driver or Pro Solos) then Rivals on all four corners might be best. Another option is RE71's up front and Rival-S's in the back. I've heard mixed reviews of running this mixed setup, YMMV. At least we have choices.

Where are you seeing a 295 RE71? The list doesn't include that size

Sorry, I've edited the earlier post. No 295 / 18 RE71R coming this year.
