Default LS2 Shortblock w/ all other Z06 Parts, Worthy Combination?

Hey all, I want to build a motor on the stand, then swap it in when it's all built. I have a chance to acquire a low mile LS2 shortblock. I'm aware of the swap parts necessary for the build. I planned to use my C5 Z06 oil pan, ported 243 heads, Fast intake, etc with the LS2 shortblock.

Any thoughts on this?

I was primarily curious about any oiling passage differences between the two blocks. Many guys are saying that a mild LS6 build is the most reliable HPDE combo, I was wondering if the same holds true to the LS2 shortblocks.

I just built one, ls2 , stock 243 heads,, better springs and titanium retainer and keepers, fast intake, 60 lbs injectors , LG g5x3 cam callies crank, Oliver rods, J.E piston,,, and a dailey engineering dry sump system ,, hooked up to a Holinger Sequential 6sp gear box.. no flywheel to a 7 1/4 triple disc tilton clutch... it make 477 hp 444 tq at the rear wheels... we built it up this way as an endurance motor,,, and really love it .. i know we could make more power with other heads but wanted to keep it safe ...
we are running it in a c6 race vette,,,We love it...

Sounds like an animal. I don't have any plans to go dry sump tho, so I'd like to hear feedback about ls2's and wet sump setups.

I'm currently putting a 408 LS2 stroker together with a wet sump. I've been told by several engine builders that the wet sump will be OK on the road course with restricted flow push rods, drilled lifter trays, and an accusump for little extra insurance. Time will tell.

I plan on all those same supporting parts. I'm just wondering if the oil passages on the LS2 are somehow inferior to those on an LS1/ LS6. Read a few posts about that, but I'm not sure at this point.

You're putting 243s on an ls3 block, why?
