I'll be there for sure! Probably Saturday and Sunday both, gotta love living only 30ish minutes from the track!

I will be there the whole weekend. My friend and I have tracking our cars at VIR and CMP for years and are planning to go the corvette route for our next cars. Would be nice to meet up with some of you to learn more before we purchase. We can only offer free cold beer for the education....

I'll have my kid, so won't need the beer, but feel free to track me down and say hello.... always happy to discuss Corvettes (although my current track car is not a Corvette, I'm sure I can still help). If you are near the Corvette Corral, I've got a Cyber Grey C6 convertible, and a tall 7 year-old in tow, with big earphones for him during the racing, and we'll both be wearing assorted Corvette shirts and such (although I'm guessing that won't limit it down much at all for you....) Will be there Friday Afternoon through Sunday.

I am planning on going and participating in the Corvette corral. Any advice/tips for a first timer who has never been to VIR or participated in a corral? Coolers with outside adult beverages allowed?

You can bring in your own food and adult beverages. There will be a "No Alcohol Past This Point" sign as you enter the North Paddock where the race teams are working.

Chevy will have a large exhibit with a cutaway Corvette, C7s and free t-shirts independent of the corral. The corral gets you closer-in parking and some "trash and trinkets" as Doug Fehan calls it.

They will have trams shuttling people around so you can visit the South Paddock and view South Bend, Oak Tree, and the back stretch. But you will do lots of walking to see everything so wear good walking shoes. If you walk through the North Paddock to the top of the hill at the False Grid you can see the cars from Roller Coaster through NASCAR Bend.

Depending on where you watch you might want ear protection too.
