Default Installing my bump steer kit

hey guys,
quick question. I have a bump steer kit that I'm putting on my 84. I purchased it thru EM with the heim joint. This may be a dumb question but I don't know the answer to it.

On the lower half of the kit it has a few different size spacers are these installed on the bottom side of the lower arm control?

Been trying to contact him for a while now to ask but I haven't gotten a call back yet.
thanks

I think you need to study up on what a bump steer kit is and how it works.

The spacers are the whole point of the kit to allow you to set or reset the angle of the tie rod to reduce/eliminate the bump steer after you lower the car.

You could end up making things much worse if you set it wrong.

This is why I'm asking. It didn't come with any directions.

I've lowered the car approximently 1.5 inches in the front. Is there a tool I need to help me set the correct angle?
Maybe a link that can help instruct me?

This shows the most often used procedure. Special tools required. Not a simple or quick procedure.

Many of the kits do not have adjustable spacers, which makes no sense to me. But what the hell, they sell them. Right next to the titanium lug nuts.

Yep, springs/shocks/swaybar disconnected. You have to know the C/L of the hub at ride height, etc.

And you should have the alignment equipment to reset everything after you get the bumpsteer where you want it.

Bumpsteer gauges can be made fairly easily (I used to make them and sell them at the racetrack).

Longacre's start at $210
