Default Best seat with adjustable track for C5Z

Looking for a better seat for my C5Z. Fortunately I'm pretty skinny (5'10" and 170 lb) but would still like to have some fore/aft adjustment.

Experience and suggestions?

Not many options for us. I am using the Corbeau A4. You have to swap driver and passenger seat tracks to fit. This puts the recline adjuster in a position difficult to access (next to tunnel). Even then, some cars (mine) the seat will still rub the plastic around the bottom of the door when sliding rearward.

I am 5'10" and 150lbs. Much better seat than stock.

Search and you will find an install thread that was very helpful to me.

Depending on your weight, I had good success with Sparco Evo and passenger side manual rails. Just get Sparco's aluminum sideplates and make some "strap" adapters from the factory rail.

Sparco EVO here as well. Sliders were a must for me because the wife and I share the car (she's 5'2" and I'm 6'). Using the seats with the Sparco sliders and they sit up a tick higher than stock, but accommodate our height disparity without issue. It's a tight fit with the OEM seat belts, but it works. At your size I think they'd be just about perfect.

I installed the Corbeau FX1 Pro's (5'11", 190#). It was a HUGE pain in the ***. I ended up side mounting them with Arizen locking sliders. I also needed to cut off the rear foot pegs on the seats to give the seat a little recline. With a helmet, I have ~1" of headroom.

I'm 5'10", 170lb also, but I am in a C6 Z06. I have a Brey-Krause Slider and a Cobra Suzuka Pro-Fit GT (wider version). It's a good compromise because I drive the car on the street a fair amount, but if I was JUST tracking it I would get the standard width.

I have a Recaro Pole Position with a Recaro slider and side brackets. It fits well and the slider works great.

Are the sliders made by Sparco as well? Do they mount in the stock mounting holes? Also do they have any harness attachments built in?

Thanks for the info.

Caravaggio race seats in my car with factory manual sliders. Very comfy for the street also.

For my setup we just used the Sparco sliders and brackets. It looks pretty much just like this picture:

The bracket has provisions for the anti-sub belts underneath (in the pic its the strap that runs across the aft side of the bracket with the three evenly-spaced holes in it) and the lap belts (the lowest holes along the side just forward of the rear mounting points). Hope that helps...

I've got these also. It is a really nice fit and function. I find the shoulder rest more comfortable than the sparcos when trying them out.
