Dealing with Doug Rippie Motorsports...
Title may have been a bit misleading but folks tend to look at bad more than good. That said I have been dealing with DRM since, I think, 2005. In 2007 we sent them our 89 coupe for a fresh engine, added safety equipment, and other odds and ends. I was floored at the quality of work they did for us and over the years the car has been a very strong runner with ZERO issues. Flash forward to SEMA 2013 a CF vendor and race shop was at the show, I made a first hand effort to go and speak with them about some AP Calipers that were on a older car I had purchased. The calipers were in need of a rebuild and everyone I spoke with could not source the parts. Upon speaking with the rep at the show, exchanging info, and ultimately sending them the calipers after numerous email exchanges got them back with stripped bleeder screws. I contacted the vendor and they "looked into it" and I never heard back. After several unreturned calls I finally tracked down the guy I had been dealing with only to be told that the units, they damaged, could not be repaired and I would need new calipers.... A few weeks later I was on he phone with Randy over at DRM and was venting about the screw up and looking into replacement calipers for the car. Randy stepped right up and ask to have the damaged calipers to look them over. Within a few days he was calling me with a fix for the calipers and shortly after they were back to me repaired and ready to install. Guys you DO NOT find this type of service anymore!!! These guys have continually gone the extra mile to help me out over the years (even for a old C4). I just wanted to post up on here and say thank you!
Thanks again DRM and especially Randy Rippie for all the help!!!

We're fortunate to have several good vendors on the forum. Randy is among the best. Randy has helped me as well on occasions where someone else was getting the sale. A class act.

My history with DRM goes back to the mid-90's when I purchased a "chip" from them for an old C4 ZR-1 and they've taken care of me since. Randy has patiently answered all of my questions and busted *** to get me superior quality parts on short notice - he's good people and on my very short list of vendors that I trust implicitly .

Back in Feb. my Chump team car developed a leak in an oil cooler line. Randy was just hanging out with us for the fun of it but he jumped under the car, assessed the problem and installed the new line for us because he was, as he said, "the young one in the group". He was absolutely covered with oil when he completed the repair. I will always give DRM the first shot at my business. I enjoy doing business with folks that aren't 'too good' to do actual work.
Oh yeah, he found a couple of other areas that needed attention while he was under the car and fixed those as well.

+1 on DRM.
I've called Randy a number of times with questions before and after the sale. He's always been very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. I'd recommend DRM to anyone.

My .02!
Where most sellers, vendor or private CF member alike, punish 50th States with high shipping or statement like "Only contiguous 48th States"........even for small USPS FLAT RATE BOX....
Sometimes, I call Randy just for advice - either he pick up or he never failed returning my call.
Randy is like a breath of fresh air for us Pacific Islanders in dealing mail orders off Islands!
