I'll be there this year for my 3rd trip. I will never forget the look in Andy Pilgrim's eyes when he was talking about racing at night in the rain during the 24 Hr of Le Mans. He kept asking the team when he was done with his stint because he could barely see at 180 MPH and was terrified. The team kept telling him to say out, he was doing great, and was 30 sec a lap faster than everyone else in the class. He eyes showed true fear just retelling the story. Epic
Also cool to have Andy and Johnny drive my car so I had some understanding of how I compare.

Definitely worth the drive. It's 10 hours for me without stops, closer to 12 with stops and last year was the only year I've ever missed.

If you are planning on attending make sure to get your registrations in as soon as possible because we have to make commitments based on participation. This event will be here before you know it.

Its not just the track time which is a lot, in fact I don't think I have ever used all the track time available, out of sheer fatigue. But you have to include the expert mechanical support, excellent meals, instructors, party and receptions. This is the only event that my wife goes to with me, it is that good. So to answer your unstated question it is definitely worth it.

It's more than just track time. It's like an all-inclusive track vacation for two days. It includes great meals, access to our technicians, instructors, and pro drivers. People who have never been always question the price, and those that have gone tell me that we're not charging enough. We lose money every year doing it. It's a marketing expense for us.

As mentioned before, this is a great event! Where else can you get to spend casual time and instruction from drivers like Johnny O'connell and Andy Pilgrim for 2 days. This event offers a lot of things that other HPDE's don't. The mechanical help and the meals and party at Mike's garage are just a few of them. Come and join the FUN!!!! Jim Dillon

It's a fair question, but you have to look at the entire package and doing so reveals good value. There are certainly cheaper ways to get on track....you can go to a crowded event, pack a sack lunch and wrench your car in between sessions until your hearts desire.
At Track Attack, regardless of skill level, novice to fully licensed racer, there's something for everybody to gain.
Pro drivers share their wisdom which is priceless -- and in this quaint setting, you can actually spend more than 30 seconds talking to them.
Most of the instructors are veterans of this event and understand how to get the most out of a student and their car, regardless of skill level.
There are endless trackside drinks and snacks. The meals are all gourmet and served in a nice air conditioned clubhouse with real silverware -- a great way to re-energize for afternoon sessions.
Katech Techs onsite let you enjoy a safety check between sessions and allow you to drive your car at the event, not worry about it.
The garage party, quite a unique atmosphere with great people.
Oh, and an opportunity to ride in the Beast!

Like the other said, it's worth it! Put it this way, this is the one event that for the last two years I've arranged to have my car at katech to have work done on it so that they can take the car with them to the track for me. So if you think $950 is pricey just add on the shipping costs back and forth from CA and you can guess what I paid (and frankly never once regretted it for a second!). Unfortunately I'm going to miss haging out with all of the great people there this year but I have a feeling that next years TA2015 will be right around the time that I need to do a refresh on my motor
