Seems simple, but with the springs off would there be too much interference with the electronics underneath the cushion?

How does it feel without the springs attached?

(Thanks for the video!)

There is still wire support there. No interference with the electronics. I have run it this way for the past 4000 miles, 20+ auto crosses with no issues.

Okay, good to know.

How much head room would you say it gets you? 1 inch? 2 inches?

VGLNTE1:

Did the seats come with brackets that mounted up with the stock sliders and GM seat mount?

You mentioned they came with brackets... is that part of their package?

TIA for any helpful information you might have!

Get hardbar brackets and lower your seat to the floor!

Not an option. I need sliders. Wifey (fellow instructor) is one foot shorter than I am...

... and she's been told she is not getting her own car.

Bringing this back up because I just sat in Marrad's LX1 with his prototype "sliding bracket" and I fit great!!
The seat has a custom bottom shell that dips down around the sliders to get the seat to the floor. The narrow one was barely noticeable(less than my wallet) and the 1" wide one was comfortable even without any cushion. I have a 36" waist and Im 6'5"
Stock seat w/ helmet to roof was 1/2"(I need to scoot my butt forward a little to get this much while reclining WAY back) with sliders and LX1 was 2.1/4" with the solid brackets it would be 3"!!!
