Saw something like that at VIR with an Ariel Atom at an HPDE I attended. Luckily, no one was hurt.

The Ariel Atom driver went into T1 (Horseshoe) too fast and could not keep it on the track. Made the common mistake of fighting it and ended up hooking the car. Luckily for the driver, the guy behind him in a Miata was paying attention and went off into the grass to avoid hitting the Ariel Atom driver. Should mention that the Miata driver is an instructor so much better than the average HPDE driver.

The Miata driver caught it all on video.

I just saw your towing thread and wanted to say what an awesome new car you have there. Looks in really nice shape!! I have a fair amount of knowledge when it comes to them and you're going to love that car. It may take some getting used to as your brain becomes acclimated to the new significantly higher corner speeds. Once that happens and you become comfortable driving the car at the limit you will be flying!!

Paddles!! Sweet!

Enjoy that car!! It's awesome!!!
