how about just running a dog gear setup? I have been considering dumping my auto c6 for a manual and doing this along with a console mounted bumpshifter...

Man you guys don't screw around. One guy suggests a sequential transmission, another a C7, then another an $8,000 mod. You have a wire sending voltage to your throttle body, telling it how far to open. No need to throw massive amounts of money at it. As soon as I hear from SpeedSouth I'll post here.

Works good too.
I cannot wait to test one of these.

Having said that I do know hoe to heel/toe decently.

Check out Auto-Blip....I met a Boss 302 guy who was putting one on his car and said several others had installed it with no problem and good results. Seems like a good option for about $350

Zo6 thanks for the info I contacted them yesterday about the Auto -Blip product . See the response from Cathy.

Hi Larry!

Thank you for your interest in AUTO-BLIP!

We have yet to install it on any Corvette older than a 2005. However, as long as the vehicle is throttle by wire and equipped with a 2 output accelerator pedal sensor, brake sensor, and clutch sensor, it should work. Unfortunately, we do not have any information on the wiring for this model so you would need to do that investigative work on your own if you are comfortable doing so. We can advise you on what outputs to look for to guide you on the wires you should tap into, but finding those wires would require a certain comfort level working with a multi-meter.

Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you.

Kind regards,

Cathy

I am not sure if the c-5 has the sensors listed but am in the process of checking with Bill Curlee. they have a kit done for the C-6 hopefully it will work on the c-5 as well .

NEW UPDATE !!!

Bill Curlee informed me the C-5 does in fact have these sensors thanks Bill we are good to go

I included a link to this product installed on a s2000

thinking the switch that turns the cruise control off, for the brake switch. there is the clutch pedal switch/starter interlock saftey switch for the clutch, then the tps wiring from the ecu.. i would think you would need hptuners to even think of attempting something like this..

so who is gonna be the gunea pig? if i had hptuners i swear i'd try this, but i don't have it for this car..

For those of you looking at the Auto-Blip kit, I dug up some wiring info.

The accelerator pedal position sensor, stoplamp switch, and clutch pedal position sensor component locations are shown here:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/memb...nts-148184.jpg

Accelerator pedal signals come from circuits 1161 and 1263:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/memb...ing-148180.jpg

I didn't find the pedal position connector end view, but 1161 and 1263 are from pins F and A, respectively, on the accelerator pedal position sensor connector.

The stoplamp switch signal goes to both circuit 17 and 20:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/memb...ing-148182.jpg

Both 17 and 20 come from Pin B of the stoplamp switch connector 2:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/memb...lug-148186.jpg

The clutch pedal position signal goes to circuit 269:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/memb...ing-148181.jpg

Circuit 269 comes from pin B of the clutch pedal position switch:

These schematics are for a 1999, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were the same for all C5s (but don't hold me to it).

I don't think building one of these from scratch would be expensive (I sourced all the electrical components for under $40) or especially hard if you're willing to play with wiring and rigging up the momentary switch on the shift ****. But using a pre-made kit sure would make life easier. I also really like the idea of having to have both the clutch and brake pressed to allow the blip.
