Anyone have one installed? Easy to install? Is it useful?

I have one as part of my datalogger, so that is kind of cheating. I find it to be way more useful than a single stage setup. Obviously you need to put some thought (and subsequent re-adjustment) into when to trigger the various lights.

i installed an Eplictech Shift-i mounted atop the steering column housing..just in front of the dic display. Its primary use / benefit for me is that it flashes incessantly upon reaching a user defined redline. That feature alone has probably saved me a couple of motors by now.
After you ID the correct wire behind the dash to splice into..install is a breeze. Its affordable too.

Here's a thread about when I installed one in my C6:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-t...ift-light.html

I was going to sell the Z06 and took out the shift light and sold it to Jim Dillon. My wife told me I couldn't track the ZR1, so I told her I guess I had to keep the Z06 for the track. She didn't have an answer for that, so that's what happened!!

I've been thinking of getting another one, but I'm leaning toward this Dashtronix unit that plugs into the OBD II port and displays in the DIC, the HUD, and has a bright single light you can mount anywhere on the dash or in a vent, etc.:

Unfortunately, it looks like you may have a C5, and I'm not sure but I think it only works in a C6.

Got one from LGM years ago and they work great. Velcro attached it to the top of dash center of wheel.

Reminds me that I need to re-set my shift light since it still lights ups at 6,200rpm.
It’s distracting to watch it stay on for so long now after the engine swap.

You had the LS1 in there before, right?

This is the one I always use (copy/paste):

Super easy 3-wire connection. Awesome customer service. I have used him for years.

Yes sir. 4th gear at Road Atlanta would barely get me half way down the back stretch and the MN6 5th gear just won't pull.
I'm loving the LS6.

Finally got mine installed. Took about 1hr and 2 beers. I tapped-into the harness behind the drivers knee panel. Picked-up the pink wire for key-on power, white tach signal wire and grounded to dash frame work. Had to set to 4 cylinder, as this ignition system uses a wasted-spark set-up. Mounted slightly left of center so I can still see oil temp.
