Can I fit my C6 on this trailer???
Anyone have experience with a Trailex 7041 aluminum trailer? It has a 12.5' deck length and 70" wide. The specs are similar to the 7031 but its a 4100lb trailer.

Trailer length
Corvettes are around 14 ft long, so i would say it would be tough to get the car on the trailer and get the right tongue weight for good towing. Also binding the car down to the trailer that small might get interesting. I almost bought a 16 foot trailer, but ended up getting an 18' and glad I did. I bought an RNR (R&R) aluminum and it had torsion axles, radial trailer tires and weighs about 1240 lbs. Follows like a puppy dog. It was just $4k, but i had to drive to MI to pick it up. Decent trailer for the money certainly, and about half the cost of a Tslot trailer.
The Tslot bolt up trailers I have seen are not full deck and that is where the weight savings comes in. The aluminum extrusion they are made from is called Tslot and is pretty neat stuff for building things, but really pricey. The trailers I have seen made from this stuff seem to be well designed and the Tslot allows you to do some interesting mods to the trailer.

yea the 16 or 18 foot trailer would work, but he was going to put a C6 on a 12 1/2 long deck. He would have the nose over the tongue and the butt hanging over about a foot.

OK it wont. My car is 72" wide at the tires. I think the length woud work because you can overhand the front a little.
I read another post where a member was trailering his C5Z on a trailex 7541. That trailer is 75" wide and 4100lb capacity. He said it "barely fit." I a pretty sure a C5 is wider than a C6 so I can see why.
It seems 75" wide is the bare minimum and 80" would be prefered.

I hate to wake the dead (post) here, but did the OP ever get this trailer? I have a 99FRC and a Trailex CT 7031just came up for sale. I've seen some Porsche guys "mod" the trailer to make it wider. Since the entire trailer is bolted together, maybe that's not very difficult?
